Summarising
is the act of taking the important or main points from an article or subjects,
then reducing the number of words so that the reader is able to discover the
main or important points easier and in less time than it would take if he or
she read the main article. To begin writing a summary, the writer must first
takes notes of the important information in the article, after doing so the
writer should then determine which information is best suited to be written and
then he or she would begin to write the summary. When writing a summary, the
writer should avoid adding information such as names of people, orginisations
and figures. One of the most important parts about writing a summary is adding
the reference at the end of it. A reference shows that the writer is not
attempting to commit the act of plagiarism.
